Terms of Service Housecleaners.Amsterdam
Welcome to Housecleaners.Amsterdam! By booking our cleaning services, you agree to the following terms and conditions in compliance with EU consumer rights legislation.
1. Booking and Payment
- When booking a cleaner through Housecleaners.Amsterdam, you may select the number of hours required for cleaning, with options of 4, 6, or 8 hours, based on your needs.
- To secure your appointment, full payment must be made via our website at the time of booking. Only upon successful payment is your appointment confirmed.
- Once your booking is confirmed, the chosen time slot is reserved for you, and no other customer can book it.
2. Cleaner Visit
- The cleaner will arrive at your specified location on the agreed date and time and will work for the duration you have booked.
- Important: Cleaners do not bring their own equipment or cleaning products. It is the responsibility of the person who booked the service to provide all necessary tools and supplies, such as a vacuum cleaner, mop, sponges, cloths, and appropriate cleaning products.
- If you fail to provide the required equipment or products, the cleaner will be unable to perform their duties, and no refund will be issued for this reason.
3. Refund and Cancellation Policy
- Right of Withdrawal: Customers may cancel their booking up to 14 days before the scheduled appointment and receive a 50% refund. No refund will be given for cancellations made 13 days or less before the scheduled appointment.
- No Refunds for Late Cancellations: Once an appointment is confirmed and paid for, cancellations made less than 14 days in advance will not be eligible for any refund, as the cleaner has reserved that time for you and cannot accept other bookings.
- Refund for No-Show: If the cleaner fails to show up for any reason, Housecleaners.Amsterdam will issue a 100% refund of the amount you paid.
- Force Majeure: In the event of circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters or public health emergencies), appointments may be rescheduled or canceled without penalty. Refunds will be offered in accordance with the situation.
4. Service Details
- Each booking typically involves one cleaner. In rare cases, two cleaners may be sent to split the hours. For example, if you book a 4-hour cleaning, two cleaners may work for 2 hours each.
- A basic cleaning includes daily household tasks, such as:
- Loading the dishwasher
- Cleaning kitchen countertops, stovetops, and exterior cabinet surfaces
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Dusting furniture and vacuuming the sofa
- If the cleaning tasks are not completed within the time booked, additional hours will need to be purchased for the next session.
5. Specialized Cleaning
- Cleaners are not permitted to perform specialized or dangerous cleaning tasks, such as:
- Removing limescale, mold, stains or heavy polluted properties
- Cleaning balconies or bird droppings
- Offering additional payment directly to cleaners for extra tasks or exchange phone number is strictly prohibited and violates our policy.
6. Additional Services
- When booking additional services, such as oven cleaning, fridge cleaning, inside cabinet cleaning, or window cleaning (especially during a move-out), these tasks will be completed as per your request.
- In some cases, additional staff may be sent to ensure the job is completed efficiently.
7. Consumer Rights in the EU
As a consumer, you are protected by EU laws regarding unfair contract terms, digital services, and consumer rights. This includes but is not limited to:
- Right to Transparent Terms: All terms and conditions must be clear and fair. Any ambiguities will be interpreted in favor of the consumer.
- Right to Information: We are required to provide you with essential information about our services, pricing, and conditions before booking.
If you feel that your rights have been violated, you may contact local consumer protection authorities or file a complaint with the European Consumer Centre in your country.
8. Liability
Housecleaners.Amsterdam will not be held liable for any damages or losses arising from the cleaning services unless caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct on our part. In cases of minor accidents or dissatisfaction, we encourage you to contact our customer service team to find a resolution.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
